Custom Layouts
Control how items are presented to reviewers with custom view layouts.
Custom Layouts
Custom view layouts let you control how items are presented to reviewers. By default, the queue shows the full trace detail. Custom layouts let you surface specific fields, highlight comparison data, or build purpose-built annotation interfaces.
Creating a Custom Layout
Open the view builder
Navigate to a queue item and click View Builder (or use the View Builder link in the queue detail page top bar).
Configure columns
Add field columns to control which parts of the trace are shown. Each column maps to a field path in the trace or observation data. Configure the column label, width, and rendering type.
Add score inputs (optional)
Add score input fields that correspond to the queue's score configs. This creates an inline scoring form embedded in the layout.
Save and name the layout
Give the layout a name and description, then save. It becomes available for selection in the queue and in any secret links you create.
Importing Layouts Between Queues
If you have a layout configured on another queue that you want to reuse, use Import Layout from the queue settings. Select the source queue and the layout to import — it is copied into the current queue.
Layout Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
TRACE | Layout for reviewing top-level traces |
SESSION | Layout for reviewing multi-turn session traces |
Multiple layouts can be attached to a single queue, allowing reviewers to switch between views or use different layouts for different reviewer roles.
